Our Services

AIR BALANCING Air quantities are measured according to AABC National Standards, and outlets are adjusted to design requirements.
WATER BALANCING Proportional fluid flow quantities are attained throughout hydronic systems in accordance with design requirements.
COMFORT BALANCING Air and water quantities are measured according to AABC National Standards, and outlets are adjusted to suit occupant requirements.
INDOOR AIR QUALITY TESTING Most IAQ problems are system related and can be traced to poor ventilation. Basic IAQ investigations are performed, and the required air exchange rates are provided to ensure that the facility is receiving the appropriate air quantities.
HVAC COMMISSIONING A systematic, quality assurance process that facilitates and ensures the required communication, coordination, testing and verification to deliver a building whose HVAC systems perform as intended. It includes design review, installation verification, proper system start-ups, functional performance tests, operations and maintenance (O&M) training, assistance in coordination of construction schedules and sequences, and complete documentation of the HVAC systems.
SYSTEM SURVEYS Testing existing HVAC systems and their components according to AABC National Standards, for owners to identify the current opperating condition of their building HVAC plants.
FUNCTIONAL PERFORMANCE TESTING Testing conducted during the acceptance phase of a commissioning project to verify that systems are operating as intended in all modes and conditions. Includes testing of individual items of equipment and subsystems, to complete systems, to interfaces between systems, depending on the scope of the commissioning plan.
CONTROL SYSTEM VERIFICATION Controls are set to a proper fixed mode to prevent any changes during the balancing, and proper operation is verified
SOUND AND VIBRATION TESTING Sound pressure levels are measured with a properly calibrated meter in accordance with the contract specifications. Vibration of the HVAC components is measured and recorded for displacement and velocity where required by the project specifications.
FUMEHOOD TESTING Proper testing of the fume hood is crucial for a safe environment. Total flow quantities, both exhaust and supply, as well as face velocities, are adjusted in order to achieve effective performance of the fume hood exhaust system.
DUCT LEAKAGE TESTING This testing must be specified; it is not a required test in accordance with AABC General Specifications. Duct leakage rate is measured and recorded; unusual conditions specified; and leakage source identified.
PRE-CONSTRUCTION PLAN REVIEW These services must be specified in addition to AABC General Specifications; they are not required. These services will assist in achieving design intent; simplify the balance procedures; reduce the time required for balancing; and substantially contribute to more efficient, economical system performance.
